Referred to us from Andy Watmough, a family friend with the UKTI, for a complete website design from scratch after he’d visited our offices in Chorley for a completely unrelated reason.

Trading for over 25 years in Preston, Best Electrical are a well known and trusted electrical component supplier to the trade and domestic markets.  Their sales counter is busy all day, however they had zero online presence.

After sourcing their desired domain name on the after-market, and advising the best way to negotiate for the best price, we created an online shop and populated it with thousands of products.

The site has been designed to match their well-known branding and be very easy to use.  When selling online, speed and ease of use is everything, so we ensured the site is light-weight and super-fast, in addition to being really mobile friendly to make ordering on the go really simple.  We also created and branded new social media accounts, (Facebook and Twitter).

In addition, we worked closely with their in-house administration staff to train them on how to process orders that come through the website, and of course add new products, change pricing, images and so on.

We also integrated a really useful facility for people travelling to the sales counter.  Around the site, we placed “Take me there!” buttons that automatically detect the location of the person via GPS, and then opens their default maps app and calculates a route to take them straight there.  This works on desktop and any mobile device, so it’s great for people on the move with a mobile phone.
